This choir piece gives the audience, choirs, musicians and soloists a unique experience through a combination of specific bible passages and newly composed music. An effective and versatile scored for an ensemble of seven musicians. Functional music and art music combined into one same score.
The oratorio is now available in notes for choir leaders who are looking for something new, fresh and genuine. The choir parts are written in such a way that it may sound advanced in some areas but after a bit of practice it’ll be relatively easy to perform, even for most amateur choirs. This score is suitable for most of the days of the ecclesiastical year. Over at least ten different occasions have had about 500 choir singers perform this piece. Parts of the oratorio (c. 25 min) was performed for the first time at the Swedish Parliament, November 17 1999. (read more about notes and cds)
The musicians, soloists and narrators who previously performed that oratorio are highly recommended and the composer is keen to inspire during rehearsals and shows. Why not do something new instead of repeating the same and alike choir pieces year after year just like most colleagues do… in the same town… at the same time?! Break the trend and get out of the groove!
Jesper Harryson, solooboist in the Royal Filharmoniks and Samuli Örnströmer, alternating solocellist in Malmö. The symphonyorchestra played in the recording of the Prophet and the Evangelist.
